Dog Friendly Wyre
Many people like to take their dog with them when they go for a visit, and why not too, after all they are certainly part of the family and brighten up any day.
In Fleetwood there is a scenic promenade to walk your dog and there are also many shops and attractions such as Fleetwood Market, Ferry Cafe and Affinity Outlet Lancashire (formerly Freeport Fleetwood) where you can take dogs into the centre and many of the shops located within it, that welcome our furry but well behaved friends.
Apart from an extensive promenade to walk your pooch, Cleveleys is also peppard with shops and attractions that welcome dogs. Even the Briardene Hotel welcomes staying visitors and their dogs. If you fancy a visit to Eden Hair and Nails on Nutter Road they will even welcome your dog with some water and some treats too to make them feel right at home, and T & H Hooley the Haberdashery on Rossall Road will even alter their clothes to fit.
Wyre Estuary Country Park, Stanah welcome dogs and there is a networks of paths to explore with your pooch, followed by refreshments at the on site cafe.
Cafe Marina on Victoria Road West, Cleveleys allow dogs in the front Conservatory, up to the end of "potty time" which is up to 11.30am- and "potty time" means a cheaper cup of tea/coffee.

The location is beautiful, sited on the banks of the River Wyre with the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the doorstep. We love to welcome dogs in Wyre but we have to think about our other beach users too therefore dogs are banned from beaches with bathing waters from 1 May until 30 September each year because not only is it unpleasant for people wanting to swim and paddle to find dog mess in the sea, but the bacteria can cause the sea water to fail water testing:
Fleetwood beach from the east side, of the slipway opposite to the end of Promenade Road eastwards to the west side of the site of the former Fleetwood pier.
Cleveleys beach from Cafe Cove to Wyre Borough boundary.
When you’re out walking your dog, please help by picking up your dog’s poo and putting it in a bin. Please check signs and only walk your dog in designated dog-friendly areas to help protect water quality and beaches. You may be fined if you don’t remove your dog’s poo.
