Affinity's Summer of Fun

Join them from the 19 July until the 31 August for a whole six weeks of family friendly events. Here’s the full line-up:

Monday 21 to Friday 25 July – Mini Links crazy golf

Come and have fun on the free mini crazy golf course from 11am until 4pm daily. Will you score a hole in one?

Saturday 26 July – Minecraft Day with the Piñata Cod Club

This is one for all the Minecraft fans! Minecraft’s Steve will be there for a meet and greet at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Each appearance lasts 30 minutes meaning there’s plenty of time for photos! You can also have a go on the dedicated games station between 11am and 4pm. This will be run in timed sessions and is first come first served, so there may be a short wait at busy times. And if that’s not enough, there’s the free Piñata Little Cod Club between 12 and 4pm inside Captain Cod’s Club House.

Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 July – Billy Sparks entertainment shows

Join Billy Sparks for fun, magic and entertainment. The shows start at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm daily and run for 45 minutes, and you’ll find all the fun on the outdoor events space. If it is raining all the fun will happen inside Captain Cod’s Club House.

Saturday 2 August – Spiderman meet and greet with face painting

Come and meet the amazing Spiderman who’ll be appearing at the centre at 12’noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Each appearance lasts 30 minutes giving you plenty of chance to watch his Spidey-stunts and take photos. There’s free face painting on the day between 11am and 4pm.

Tuesday 5 – Thursday 7 August – Seaside shows and mini bus rides

Come and have fun at Affinity's traditional seaside shows! Running between 11.15am and 4pm on their outside event space, the shows are interspersed with brilliant mini bus rides which will take you around the centre on a mini adventure! If it is raining all the fun will happen inside Captain Cod’s Club House.

Saturday 9 August – meet the Flowerpot People with face painting

Go and meet the summery Flowerpot People who’ll be appearing at the centre at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Each appearance lasts 30 minutes giving you plenty of chance to take photos. There’s free face painting on the day too between 11am and 4pm.

Go along for some amazing gorilla encounters. The gorillas will be appearing at the centre at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, and each appearance lasts 30 minutes giving you plenty of chance to take photos. There’s free face painting on the day too between 11am and 4pm.

Wicked weekend

Saturday 23 August – the Bubble Fairy with glitter tattoos

Go along to experience the magic of The Bubble Fairy. She’ll be performing between 11am and 4pm, with short breaks between each performance. There’s free glitter tattoos on the day too.

Sunday 24 August – Wicked cupcake workshop with party games and magic

Make your very own Wicked cupcake at their free workshop. Join in the fun inside Captain Cod’s Club House anytime between 11am and 4pm, where you’ll also find party games and magic to keep you entertained.

Monday 25 August – Wicked Galinda and Elphaba meet and greet with face painting

This is one for all the Wicked fans! Galinda & Elphaba will be in Fleetwood for a meet and greet at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Each appearance lasts 30 minutes meaning there’s plenty of time for photos – they may even sing a song too! There’s also free face painting between 11am and 4pm.

Go and have fun at their traditional seaside shows! Running between 11.15am and 4pm on their outside event space, the shows are interspersed with brilliant mini bus rides which will take you around the centre on a mini adventure! If it is raining all the fun will happen inside Captain Cod’s Club House.

Saturday 30 August – Dino Day with the Little Cod Club

If you like dinosaurs, you’ll love their dino day where you’ll get to see dino’s big and small at the dino shows which run at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on their events space. Each show lasts 30 minutes giving you plenty of chance to take photos and be wowed by roaming dinosaurs. You can also take part in their free Little Cod Club where you’ll get the chance to make a dinosaur parachute pal – just pop in to Captain Cod’s Club House anytime between 12 and 4pm.

Saturday 19 July to Sunday 31 August – Captain Cod’s enchanted adventure trail

Captain Cod has been busy creating his own virtual world, but his blocks and mobs have escaped into the real world and are hiding around Affinity Lancashire. Help Captain Cod to find them by entering your own adventure around the centre – but beware, there is one missing! Find which one has escaped into Fleetwood for the chance to win a Nintendo Switch Minecraft Bundle!

You can follow the self-led trail anytime between the 19 July and 31 August – just collect your trail form from the centre entrance and, when you’ve finished, post your completed form into the entry box by the customer notice board at the front of the centre.
