RNLI Fleetwood open weekend

On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May 2026, from 10am to 4pm, the doors of the Fleetwood Lifeboat Station will swing open for a spectacular May bank holiday celebration.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be invited behind the scenes to discover the incredible world of lifesaving at sea. Guests can meet the dedicated volunteer lifeboat crew, explore the station on a guided tour, and get an up‑close look at the impressive All-Weather Shannon‑class lifeboat alongside the agile inshore D‑class lifeboat.

The station shop will be buzzing with souvenirs and gifts, while light refreshments and homemade cakes will be served throughout the day. Families can dive into children’s activities, pick up essential water safety advice and enjoy a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Adding to the excitement, Thornton Cleveleys Amateur Radio Society will be on-site, running a special event amateur radio station and joining the nationwide SOS Radio Week celebrations.
