Wanderland returns to Wyre on Saturday 25 July 2026, bringing a day of family fun, live entertainment and unforgettable experiences. Affinity Lancashire Outlet in Fleetwood has a fantastic programme of free family events this summer. On 18 and 19 July, Splash into Plastic Free July features a giant whale experience, recycled craft workshops and free face painting. Throughout the holidays, families can enjoy the Summer Maze Quest, with a different themed trail each week and chances to win prizes. The fun concludes over the August Bank Holiday weekend with Jurassic, Toy Story and K-Pop-themed takeover days featuring live entertainment, characters and interactive activities. Billy Bob’s Myerscough is bringing extra holiday fun this summer with giant bounce houses available every day from 18 July throughout the school holidays. Children can enjoy inflatable slides, bouncing fun and plenty of energy-burning activities, while families make the most of Billy Bob’s famous diner food, ice cream, shakes and sweet treats. Step back in time at the Summer Vintage Rally Family Fun Day at Farmer Parrs Animal World on 22 and 23 August 2026. This free family-friendly event will showcase a fascinating collection of vintage tractors, classic cars, motorcycles, stationary engines and steam engines. Visitors can enjoy demonstrations, admire historic vehicles and soak up the nostalgic atmosphere throughout the weekend. With plenty to see for enthusiasts and families alike, it's set to be a fantastic summer day out!
Children aged 4–11 can get hands-on with a range of free creative activities at Fleetwood Museum this summer. Young crafters can make sea glass cartoon cards, fish mobiles, wriggly fish and other fun seaside-themed creations inspired by Fleetwood’s coastal heritage. These engaging workshops are perfect for keeping children entertained during the school holidays while encouraging creativity and imagination. Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Children aged 5+ are invited to get creative at the Nature Prints Art Sessions at Wyre Estuary Country Park, Stanah, on Thursday 23 July. Using natural materials and plenty of imagination, children will create their own nature-themed card to take home. The sessions are a fun way to explore the outdoors while enjoying arts and crafts in a beautiful setting. Sessions run from 12pm–1pm and 1pm–3pm, and cost £3 per child.
