Meet the finalists: Spotlight on outstanding tourism businesses in Wyre

Wyre business awards 2023 finalists

Wyre Council has announced the finalists for the annual Wyre Business Awards 2023 and three fantastic businesses have been shortlisted for the Tourism of the year award.

Wyre Business Awards celebrate successful local businesses excelling in their industries and contributing to the growth of Wyre’s economy. Congratulations to our tourism businesses Affinity Lancashire, Fold House Park Ltd and Glazey Days Ceramic Studio for becoming finalists at this years awards.

Affinity Lancashire, nestled against the picturesque Fleetwood harbor is a retail haven with a unique nautical charm. This outlet shopping centre offers discounts of up to 60% from over 40 renowned brands. Affinity caters to all tastes, featuring men's, women's, and children's fashion, homeware, leisure products, cosmetics, accessories, and unique gift items. It’s a family-friendly destination with an indoor and outdoor play area, and events to entertain visitors of all ages.

Fold House Caravan Park is a year-round holiday destination situated in the tranquil riverside setting of Pilling, offering a range of amenities such as bowling greens, private fishing lakes, and heated outdoor swimming and paddling pools. The park caters to less-able clients and wheelchair users, providing accessible pathways and facilities amidst lush farmland, mature trees, and waterways.

Glazey Days is an accessible pottery painting and casting studio based in Fleetwood. It’s a fun and happy place to unwind and be creative stocking a wide range of ready-to-paint pottery items. They offer a diverse range of ceramic-based products, specialising in pottery painting, baby keepsakes, pet prints, outprints, and life casts. Whether you're crafting a personalised plate as a thoughtful gift or capturing the tiny hands or feet of your newest family member, their team is ready to assist.

The finalists will now await the lavish awards ceremony, taking place at Marine Hall in Fleetwood on Tuesday 7 November where the winners will be revealed. This year, the awards will be hosted by celebrated local comedian Steve Royle, with a wonderfully weird and delightfully decadent ‘Willy Wonka’ theme - it’s an occasion not to be missed!
