Wyre Business Awards took place on Tuesday 7 November at Marine Hall in Fleetwood to celebrate successful local businesses excelling in their industries and contributing to the growth of Wyre’s economy. The awards were hosted by celebrated local comedian Steve Royle, with a wonderfully weird and delightfully decadent ‘Willy Wonka’ theme.

Affinity Lancashire were thrilled to pick up the award for Tourism Business of the Year at last night's lavish award ceremony. With fantastic regular events and a great social media presence, Affinity was chosen as the winners by the judges for their creative initiatives which as a result has seen an increase in footfall at the retail park. It is viewed as a great destination for locals and visitors alike, with clear work going in to bringing more visitors on a national level.

Other winners on the night included Glazey Days Ceramic studio who won the Social Media of the Year award and Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs who took home the award for Community and Charity Organisation of the Year.
