The Dinosaur and The Witch 

Bring the kids along to our free performances of The Dinosaur and The Witch! In a far away land called Nils Moreanis live the dinosaurs and the little girl who looks after them. One fateful Halloween, a witch arrives on the island on her broomstick ... and devilish fun starts to happen! 

Performances will take place at Claughton Memorial Village Hall on Wednesday 23 October and at Pillling Village Hall on Thursday 24 October. Find out more and book your tickets 

Halloween in Cleveleys – fun for all the family

Join the Halloween festivities on Victoria Road in Cleveleys from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 26 October, for a day filled with spooky fun! Here's what you can look forward to: 

  • Balloon Art Bob: crafting spooky "Wrister Twisters" 
  • Boo Bubble: performing her magical bubble show
  • Trick or treat stilt performers: friendly characters in costume handing out sweets
  • Scarecrows on stilts: keep an eye out for these tall, spooky figures
  • Kids' craft workshops: make a ghost or your very own Halloween decoration
  • Apple bobbing: enjoy without getting wet
  • Free face painting: available for all ages

Billy Bob’s fall and halloween festival

October is packed with fun at Billy Bob's Diner! Nothing says Fall like savouring stateside classics, enjoying pumpkin-perfect moments and having a frightfully good time! 

Prepare to be dazzled inside and out at Billy Bob’s this season! From charming pumpkins to enchanting fall décor, it’s the perfect time to swing by and snap some sweet shots of your little ones in their cosy autumn wonderland.  

These spooky activities will be running daily from 28 September until 3 November: 

Haunted Trails - Fancy a case of the Heebie Jeebies? Their haunted trails are packed with spooky fun—zombies, ghosts and ghouls are lurking around every corner, just waiting to give you a fright!  It’s kid-friendly with plenty of jumpy startles to keep things exciting.  

Even the littlest scaredy cats can join in, with an easy halfway exit if they prefer to stick with the gentle haunts. £4 per child (includes two trips around the trail, parents go free). No booking needed—just turn up!  

Nit Wit Professor - How this scatterbrained professor got his title, we’ll never know—but one thing’s for sure, his lab is full of fun! Meet Professor Nit Wit and join in on his wacky, sweet-toothed experiment that’s as fun as it is batty!  

It’s a whimsical visit and photo opportunity, perfect for children up to nine years old (with an adult), and best of all—it’s free! No booking needed—just swing by and join in the chaos. 

Candy scramble - Ready, set, scramble for candy in the pumpkin house! The pumpkin house is the perfect spot for a 100-second candy scramble! Kids will have a blast diving into the haystack to hunt down as many hidden, wrapped treats as they can grab. 

This exciting activity is just for children nine and under, £3 per child. No need to book—just show up and join the candy hunt! 

Cackles and pumpkins fun at Affinity Lancashire

It’s all a bit of Hocus Pocus this Halloween half term at Affinity Lancashire with their free Cackles and Pumpkins event! Join them for a week of Halloween hijinks and fun for all the family! 

The week begins with a visit from the Hocus Pocus witches who will be appearing at their spooky house on Saturday 19 October. Join them at 11am, 12noom, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm for their 30 minute appearances, when there’ll be plenty of time for some photo opportunities. 

Then on Monday 21 October you can practice your potion making skills at the Slimy Potion workshops. Running in sessions throughout the day, you can join the spooky and slimy fun. The last session will commence at around 3.15 pm so be sure to arrive early to take part. 

On Tuesday 22 and Thursday 24 October join in the Spooky Scavenger Hunt. Search around the shopping centre for hidden Halloween treasures, then return to the starting point to collect your spooky prize. Fleetwood Library will be there on Thursday afternoon too with a free Halloween craft activity and story session. 

Louby Lou will be hosting a special Halloween Party at the centre on Wednesday 23 October between 11am and 4pm. With fun, games, music and dancing, go in your best spooky dress to join in the spooky shenanigans! 

On Friday 25 October get crafty making autumnal scarecrows at the Scarecrow Making Workshop. Pop along anytime between 11am and 4pm to get involved. 

The week will end with some pumpkin fun. On Saturday 26 October between 12 and 4pm you can pick your own pumpkin from the Affinity pumpkin patch, then take it into the Little Cod Club to decorate it ready for Halloween. Captain Cod will be making an appearance too! 

All of their events are completely free to take part in, but we do advise that you go early and there may be a short wait at busy times. The pumpkins in the pumpkin patch will be limited so it will be first come first served on the day. 

Uncle Guy’s ‘Not So Scary’ Halloween

Want to celebrate Halloween but don't like to be scared that much? Go along to Guys Thatched Hamlet and enjoy all the half term howls and activities, kiddies rides and attractions. 

Pumpkin Picking and rides open Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 October from 10am to 5.30pm. £2.50 per pumpkin. 

From Monday 21 to Sunday 27 October you can join in Halloween craft making, spooky pizza making, pumpkin picking and kiddies rides. Guy's Trick or Treat Trail is fun for everyone! Dress up in your favourite costume and join the trail around the hamlet. You'll soon discover all the 'boot'tiful trick-or-treat stations where you'll collect some loot along the way. Don't get tricked out of it! 

Their Little Monsters Disco, by ticket only is on Saturday 26 October from 4pm. Get your fancy dress on and join in with a spooky evening of fang-tastic fun for all the family. Kids disco, fun and games with DJ Ben, including a Punch and Judy magic show and Little Zoo to You. There'll be plenty of creepy activities, tasty treats and a good-shaking disco in the Spooky Shack! Tickets only £5. 

On Sunday 27 October Uncle Guy's Halloween Party will take place inside the magical marquee from 12 noon til 4pm with a pumpkin competition (prizes for the best carved and biggest and best), kids disco, fun and games with DJ Ben and Martin's Punch and Judy magic show, along with Zoo to You, fairground rides and kiddies rides and attractions. Tickets only £5. 

Lancashire Hawks and Owls at Barton Grange 

Lancashire Hawks and Owls is a private organisation that rescues and looks after birds of prey which cannot be returned to the wild. 

At this event you’ll have a chance to meet both the people and the birds they rescue! All the birds of prey in the display are hand reared and totally approachable which means you can touch them and have your photo taken with them for a charge of £2 (cash only).

Garstang Harvest Street Festival

Don't miss the Harvest Street Festival on Garstang’s High Street, Church Street, and Bridge Street on 19 October from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy a day packed with live music, street food, heritage craft demos and workshops, face painting, seasonal menus, exotic animals, wildlife talks, competitions, and much more! It’s an event full of fun and festive activities for all ages. 

Free Halloween craft session at Fleetwood Museum  

Get ready for some spooky creativity with Artist Kate Eggleston-Wirtz at No.8 (the amazing house next to the museum)! From 21 to 23 October, Kate will be hosting exciting craft sessions for 4-11 year olds (with an adult). Dive into a world of Halloween fun with everything provided – just bring your imagination! 

Session times: 

  • 10:30am - 12pm 
  • 1:30pm - 3pm 

Here’s what you can make: 

  • Monday 21 October: create your own glowing lanterns 
  • Tuesday 22 October: build a spooky haunted house
  • Wednesday 23 October: design eerie skeletons and masks
