Light switch-ons 

Join the festivities as our town centres light up with sparkling Christmas displays! Cleveleys and Garstang have already celebrated their light switch-ons, but Fleetwood and Poulton's events are just around the corner. Here are the details:  

• Fleetwood – Saturday 30 November – Parade starts from Ash Street/Fisherman’s Wharf – 5pm 
• Poulton – Friday 6 December – Town Centre – 4pm 

Marine Hall’s Christmas Festival 

Taking place on Sunday 1 December from 10am-4pm, Marine Hall, Fleetwood is turning festive and once again hosting a day of Christmas celebration and cheer where residents and visitors will experience all the magic of the season with exciting events, live performances, fabulous activities and more! 

• The Mayor will open the event at 10am 
• The ballroom will be filled with delicious festive food and drinks, Christmas crafts, gifts and more 
• Performances from Thornton Cleveleys Brass Band 
• Get in the festive spirit with Harmony and Health 
• Santa's Lost Elves and the sensory sleigh will be performing throughout the day 
• Come and see the interactive Gingerbread's 

Affinity Outlet Lancashire

Experience the magic of Christmas at Affinity Lancashire Outlet this year! Bring your little ones to meet Santa in his enchanting grotto for a festive experience they’ll never forget. Entry to the grotto is free, and each child will receive a small gift to take home. It’s also the perfect opportunity to capture a memorable photo with Santa, making it an experience the whole family will treasure. 

You can visit the grotto every weekend starting from 30 November, between 11am and 4pm. Additional opening times include Monday 23 December from 11am to 4pm, and Christmas Eve from 11am to 2pm, before Santa begins his journey around the world. No booking is necessary, but during busy times a short wait may be required. Santa takes a quick break at 1pm each day to feed his reindeer, so plan your visit accordingly! 

On the same weekend as the grotto’s opening, immerse yourself in a festive shopping experience at the Artisan Street event, held on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December. Browse an array of unique finds from local traders featuring beautifully crafted artisan products, handmade art and one-of-a-kind gifts that are perfect for the holiday season.  

Adding to the festive atmosphere, keep an eye out for the Gingerbread Man, who will be making appearances around the center at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. With so much holiday cheer to enjoy, Affinity Lancashire Outlet is the place to be this Christmas season! 

Billy Bob’s Myerscough 

Join Billy Bob’s for a magical morning filled with festive cheer, delicious food and unforgettable memories. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, perfect for both adults and kids, while soaking in the holiday atmosphere. Santa himself will make a special appearance, visiting every table to share laughs and chats, ensuring a joyful experience for all. Barton Grange 

A visit to Barton Grange is always a treat, but during the evenings it transforms into something truly magical. From 4pm to 8pm, every Wednesday to Saturday between 20 November and 21 December, the garden centre becomes a winter wonderland brimming with festive lights, delicious food and fun for the whole family. 

The Riverside Café adds to the festive cheer, serving its legendary hotpot supper from 4pm to 7pm. Guests can also indulge in a giant pig in a blanket or hearty homemade pies with peas and gravy, making it a perfect evening treat. As you explore, enjoy the sparkling light show in the plant area, adding a touch of enchantment to the late-night shopping experience. 

For an extra thrill, the outdoor plant area features a Virtual Reality Sleigh Ride, where you can embark on an exhilarating Christmas journey. Hold on tight as you take off—it might get bumpy! Tickets for the VR ride are £6 per person and can be booked in advance online.

Garstang Victorian Christmas Festival

The Garstang Victorian Christmas Festival is a vibrant community celebration held on Garstang's high street. On Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December local businesses will stay open late to welcome visitors. The streets come alive with festive stalls and entertainment, offering something for everyone in the family to enjoy. 

Santa Dash 

Kick off the festive season in style with Garstang's Santa Dash 2024 in the picturesque market town of Garstang. Participants will receive a Santa suit to wear as they walk, jog or run a three-mile route along the river and through the town centre. Every entrant will be awarded a bespoke medal to commemorate the event. 

The fun begins at 10:45 am with a warm-up led by the energetic Zumba Jayne, setting the stage for the festive dash, which starts at 11:00 am. Enjoy live music, and don't miss the chance to win a prize for the best-dressed festive dog. The event is wheelchair and pushchair friendly, as well as welcoming to dogs, making it a celebration for the whole family. Refreshments will also be available to keep everyone energised. 

Tickets will be available soon, with prices set at £12 for adults, £6 for children and £35 for a family of four (two adults and two children). Don’t miss this cheerful and festive start to the holiday season! 

Fleetwood Festive AR trail

The festive interactive digital trail in Fleetwood is great fun for the whole family! Play along and help Nic Clause find his way at Christmas.

Farmer Parrs Animal World, Fleetwood 

Christmas at Farmer Parrs Animal World offers a magical opportunity to enjoy Breakfast with Santa and reservations are now open. To secure your spot call the Tractor Shed Bistro on 01253 874389. This family-friendly event is designed for both parents and children, taking place in the cosy Tractor Shed Workshop. 

Hosted by Mrs. Claus, the experience includes a special family breakfast featuring fresh festive dishes from the Christmas menu and a delightful festive drink. Each child will receive a gift and there will be plenty of time with Father Christmas for games and storytime. Both Father Christmas and Mrs. Claus will remain with you throughout the two-hour event, ensuring a memorable and festive atmosphere. 

The event is priced at £20 per person, with sittings available on the following dates: 14 December from 11am to 1pm, 15 December from 11am to 1pm, and on 21 and 22 December with two sessions each day from 8am to 10am, and 11am to 1pm. Please note that admission to the farm is not included in the ticket price. 

Santa barges Inn at Guys Thatched Hamlet 

Don’t miss the Santa Barges Inn at Guys Thatched Hamlet this December! On Sunday 1 December Father Christmas will arrive by barge at 12:30pm and will be in his grotto until 4pm. Admission to meet the big man himself is free! The event also features a variety of entertainment, including Uncle Martin's Christmas Punch and Judy Magic Show, fairground rides, attractions and more. Be sure to bring your letter for the Christmas post box. There’s something for everyone, with hot chocolate, mulled wine, sweets, toys and a selection of Christmas craft and food stalls to explore. 

Sleeping Beauty Pantomime at Marine Hall
