Affinity Lancashire: Sunshine and Smiles Week
From 24 to 31 May, Affinity Lancashire in Fleetwood is hosting a week-long celebration of free family fun. Highlights include:
- Chocolate flower apple workshop (Saturday 24 May 11am-4pm)
- Lilo and Stitch meet and greet with glitter tattoos (Tuesday 27 May - 11am-4pm, 30 minute appearances at 11,12,1,2 and 3pm)
- Totally tropical trail (Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 May - 11am-4pm)
- Ebublio magical bubbles with face painting (Thursday 29 May 11am-4pm)
- The Emoji Little Cod Club (Saturday 31 May 12-4pm)

Bubble n Bounce at Guy’s Thatched Hamlet
Get ready for a bouncy blast at Guy’s Thatched Hamlet in Bilsborrow as Bubble n Bounce makes its exciting return! It’s an inflatable wonderland packed with bouncy castles, giant slides, thrilling rides and non-stop giggles — perfect for kids!
When? From Sunday 25 May to Sunday 1 June, with four fun-filled sessions daily at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, and 4pm

Garstang Children’s Festival
Garstang Children’s Festival is back this Bank Holiday Monday, 26 May, bringing a burst of colour, music and community spirit to the town centre! This much-loved local tradition promises a day full of joy for families with a vibrant parade, live entertainment, games and hands-on activities for children of all ages. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday, soak up the festive atmosphere and make memories in the heart of Garstang.
NCI Fleetwood open day
Go to NCI Fleetwood's open day on Monday 26 May to celebrate this incredible volunteer service! Explore all three floors of Rossall Point Tower and have a peek into the NCI watchroom, where you can find out more about the amazing work the volunteer Watchkeepers do to keep the people on our coast safe. Plus, try your luck at tombola and enjoy some cake! Go along anytime between 10am and 4pm.
Nature Prints Art Activity at Wyre Estuary Country Park
For ages 5–12 (with an accompanying adult), this hands-on lino print card-making session is inspired by the natural beauty of the park. The fun begins with a short, refreshing walk through the scenic surroundings, followed by a creative workshop where children can design and print their very own nature-themed artwork to take home. Taking place on Friday 30 May, there are two sessions available: 10am–12pm and 1pm–3pm, held in the Outdoor Classroom at Wyre Estuary Country Park, River Road, Stanah, Thornton (FY5 5LR). Family Film Screening at Thornton Library
For a quieter afternoon, Thornton Library will host a special family film screening on Wednesday 28 May at 2.30pm. Bring the kids, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a free movie in a cosy community setting.

Free half term crafts at Fleetwood Museum
Get creative this half term with free craft sessions at Fleetwood Museum! Kids aged 4–11 (accompanied by an adult) are invited to join in the fun and make their very own Magical Thaumatrope — a simple but enchanting optical illusion toy. The sessions run on Tuesday 27 May and Thursday 29 May, with two time slots each day: 11:00-12:00 and 13:00-14:00. Cleveleys Mythic Coast AR Trail
Home to a stunning series of sculptures known as the mythic coast, Cleveleys has its very own augmented reality app for everyone to experience the seafront in an entirely new way.
You can follow the Mythic Coast trail on the app which combines adapted and original illustration and animation, 3D digital art, poetry and music.
Available on the App Store and Google Play, download the free app and experience an immersive digital story that brings the pieces of artwork on the beach and promenade to life.
