Tourism businesses across Wyre are being encouraged to showcase their achievements as entries officially open for the 2025 Wyre Business Awards.
Proudly organised by Wyre Council, these awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding businesses that are driving innovation, creating jobs and powering the local economy. Accommodation providers, food and drink establishments and visitor attractions are all invited to apply and gain recognition for their innovation, resilience and impact on Wyre’s tourism sector. This year’s glittering awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 21 October at the iconic Marine Hall in Fleetwood, which marks its 90th anniversary in 2025, making this year’s event even more special. The event itself will celebrate the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Councillor Peter Le Marinel, Planning Policy and Economic Development Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council said: “The Wyre Business Awards are a brilliant platform to showcase the remarkable success stories within our local business community. Now celebrating its tenth year, the event continues to grow in both prestige and participation. I strongly encourage all businesses, big or small, to take part and be recognised for their achievements".

The winner of the overall Wyre Business of the Year Award will be selected from one of the worthy winners from these categories at the awards ceremony in October.
Sid Hill, of Sid Hill Transport, winner of the Wyre Business of the Year Award at last year’s ceremony stated “We would encourage all businesses to nominate themselves for one or maybe more Wyre Business Awards.
