Easter in Wyre 2024

There’s a lot of egg-citing things happening this Easter in Wyre so here’s a roundup of everything that’s taking place across the borough.

On Saturday 30 March from 10am-4pm head down to Cleveleys town centre for Easter fun suitable for the whole family! Enjoy craft stalls, music and entertainment for a delightful day out. Explore locally handmade crafts, participate in a parent-child craft workshop to create your Easter Egg decoration, and delight in live music by the Fylde Ukulele Network. Meet the Music Man and some super Easter Characters, have a go on the tombola and support stalls raising funds for Care for Cleveleys. Don't miss out on the chance to win prizes in the Cleveleys In Bloom Spring Raffle, drawn at the end of the afternoon!

The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery is organising the free Great Easter Eggcase Hunt on Saturday 30 March from 2-4pm in Fleetwood. Participants will search along the beach at Rossall Point, Fleetwood, with ID guides and the Bay team. They'll focus on the strandline, where tide deposits material, looking for leftover eggcases of species like the Thornback Ray and Small Spotted Catshark. Collected eggcases will be counted and uploaded to the Shark Trust website for recording.

Fleetwood Museum invites you to a museum talk on Wednesday 3 April at 2 pm, featuring distinguished local photographer and maritime historian Eddy Hammill. The talk titled 'Fleetwood As It Was' will showcase a selection of captivating images from the 1960s and 1970s depicting the port and town. Admission is free, with donations appreciated.
