What's happening in Wyre this February half term?
Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this half term, then look no further.
There's a huge choice of activities and places to visit in Wyre!
On Saturday 15 February you will have the chance to meet Cleveley's ogre as he emerges from the water! Meet him in Cleveleys town centre where you'll also find street entertainment, stalls, free face painting, live music, a parade, a chainsaw carving demonstration and more! Why not make a flag and join the parade through the streets of the town centre. There will be performances from Manor Beach School Choir and other local singers to enjoy too! Visit Affinity Outlet in Fleetwood this half term for their Superhero Showdown. From Saturday 15 February until Saturday 22 February you can meet your favourite superheroes including Captain America, Captain Marvel, Batman and Spiderman. Enjoy face painting, superhero hunts, craft workshops, glitter tattoos and a silent disco throughout the week. All activities are free, with donation points available for the Charity of the Year. Looking for something a bit different? Guy's Ice Week is returning to Guys Thatched Hamlet from Saturday 15 until Sunday 23 February. With ice skating on offer, plus a chilling ice maze, alpine fun house and kid rides and attractions, it's not to be missed!
Wyre's parks are perfect for keeping the kids entertained with their fantastic facilities. You'll find multi-use game areas, children's playgrounds, picnic spots, cycle tracks and beautiful green spaces for running around. Have you checked out the Cleveleys Mythic Coast AR trail yet? Take a walk along the promenade and discover five original augmented reality digital art experiences linked to the beautiful sculptures of the Mythic Coast. And for the younger ones take a visit to Farmer Parrs Animal World in Fleetwood. They will love interacting with the many animals you'll find there! If you're hungry whilst you're there then be sure to pop into the cafe where they will be serving up a great selection of hot and cold meals.
Have you been to The Flowerbowl yet? It's an entertainment centre with a difference! There you'll find a premium cinema with three screens, a curling rink, ten pin bowling, golf simulators, a covered outdoor crazy golf course and some great restaurants. It's a great place to take the kids on a rainy day!
